AEVA is a non-profit organization dedicated to education and enhancing the Aveiro Region. Constituted as a collective of brands operating across specialized sectors, AEVA owns the largest vocational school in Portugal, providing initial (I-VET) and continuous (C-VET) vocational education and training for both youth and adults. The organization maintains strong international partnerships across the EU, PALOP countries, and Brazil. AEVA integrates classroom instruction with Work-Based Learning (WBL) through its signature inclusive "dual model" of education. This framework connects students directly with companies via strategic corporate mentorship and sponsorship, ensuring continuous real-world training and high employability upon graduation.

Mobility program description

AEVA: Prevention of Drop-Offs addresses early school leaving by focusing on student engagement, motivation, and inclusive support structures. Participants gain practical insights into identifying at-risk learners and building school-wide retention strategies. Key Objectives:

Identification & Engagement: Spotting early warning signs and deploying targeted interventions to maintain student motivation.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partnering with families, local community agencies, and support networks to build a unified safety net.
Data-Driven Decisions: Using structured data collection to measure intervention success and inform continuous school strategy.

AEVA-EPA: Inclusive Schooling provides an immersive job-shadowing experience focused on special education and inclusive classroom methodologies. Participants observe everyday practices, engage with specialized educators, and study institutional strategies for learner diversity. Key Objectives:

Classroom Observation: Shadowing special education staff to study practical inclusive teaching across multiple grade levels.
Environment Design: Participating in workshops focused on adapting learning spaces for diverse student needs.
Culture & Leadership: Meeting with administrators to explore school-wide policies that foster long-term inclusion and equity.
